My Favorite Cranberry Sauce
2 Bags Fresh Cranberries
2 Cinnamon Sticks
1 Naval Orange
1/3 Cup Sugar
In a large skillet over medium heat, place the cranberries and cinnamon sticks. Zest the orange (about a tablespoon) over the cranberries. Squeeze the juice of the orange over the cranberries. Watch out for seeds! Add the sugar to the cranberries. Let the cranberries cook and begin to break down. Stir mixture. The sauce is finished when most of the cranberries have broken down, but some are still whole. Remove from heat and let cool.
This sauce is best made the day before serving.
